Background
The story of Simexx Inc. began with the personal experiences of its founder, Elhannah Alexis. As a member of the Dominican diaspora, Elhannah spent several years living and studying abroad, first earning her bachelor’s degree in Finance in China, and then pursuing a Master’s Degree in Public Administration.
During her time in China, Elhannah faced the challenges of managing her affairs back home in Dominica. From acquiring renewing her passport and driver’s license to obtaining importand documents from home. The distance and bureaucratic hurdles often proved frustrating and time-consuming. Elhannah realized that she was not alone in this struggle – the Caribbean diaspora around the world shared similar difficulties in maintaining their connections to their home countries.
Determined to find a solution, Elhannah drew upon her expertise in finance and public administration to envision a company that could simplify the complex and provide a seamless, hassle-free experience for the diaspora community. Thus, Simexx Inc. was born.
Elhannah’s firsthand understanding of the diaspora’s needs, coupled with her passion for empowering her community, became the driving force behind Simexx. The company’s mission is to bridge the gap between the Caribbean diaspora and the services they require in their home countries, starting with Dominica.
Today, Elhannah resides in the United States, but her heart remains firmly rooted in the Caribbean. She has assembled a team of dedicated professionals who share her vision and are committed to delivering exceptional, customer-centric services to the diaspora. Through Simexx, Elhannah is fulfilling her dream of simplifying the complex and ensuring that distance does not diminish the connection between the diaspora and their homeland.
